Guidelines for your comments
Simple and clear is key:
- I welcome your comments and look forward to reading what you have to say.
- Please keep the discussion intelligent and on topic.
- Inane and abusive comments will be deleted along with spam. I take particular delight in deleting rude comments from rabid Apple fanboys. I have nothing against contrary points of view, as long as they’re expressed politely and rationally.
- Comments written in ALL CAPS will NOT be published.
- If you post with a fake name and/or email address, your comment will not be published.
- You don’t have to include a website link, but if you have one, include it, so other readers can find out more about you, especially if your comment is thoughtful and informative.
- Before you post a question, do take the time to read through the previous comments on that post and make sure your question hasn’t been answered already.
- If you have grammatical errors in your comments, I may correct them. Sorry about that, but I’m somewhat obsessed with grammar and syntax. Rest assured that I will not change your message. I don’t do this for all the comments — I only do it when I have the time and/or the errors are too much to bear.
Recommendations for an optimal site experience
A few friendly recommendations to make sure the site renders properly on your computer:
- Your browser should be Firefox or Flock on a PC. Just about any of the major browsers will do fine on a Mac, although some of the buttons may look larger on Safari. This site should look okay on all browsers though, including IE. If it doesn’t, please let me know.
- Your monitor’s resolution should be 1024×768 or higher, and it should be set to 32-bit color. This is because I post lots of photos, and I’d like you to be able to see them properly.
That’s it.
