Twitter itMySpace, I knew ye well, and boy, you were a dump. As of 5:42 pm today, I no longer have a MySpace account. I cancelled it, at long last. I’ve been thinking about doing this for some time, actually from the first day I signed up for that same account. I did it just to see what the big deal was about. So many people were using it, and I wondered why.
Well, I’ve been there and done that, and all I can say is yuck! I have yet to see an uglier site than MySpace. It takes the cake. It’s got flashing ads all over the place, it’s hard to use, people can make it even uglier without trying very hard, and I never really saw any benefit to it. I honestly don’t know what all the teens see in it. The best word to describe it is UGLY. I can’t begin to tell you how good it felt to click on that Cancel Account button.
In case anyone’s looking for another social site, try Loowa. Much better designed, much easier to use. I actually have a profile there, and I don’t think I’ll be deleting it any time soon.
