Amazing sand art videos
An artist by the name of Ilana Yahav draws with sand on a glass table. Her art is memerizing, and the results are amazing. This page on her site has sample videos of her work. Highly recommended!
The original Powers of Ten, by Charles and Ray Eames
This is great! The original “Powers of Ten” video, done by Charles and Ray Eames, has been placed online! If there’s some point this should drive home, it’s this: we are some pretty insignificant specks of dust in a very, very large universe. We ought to be a little more humble and respectful of our surroundings.
A very cool walk around the Gaza pyramids
This fellow called Jason Clay is working out of Cairo, Egypt, as a graphic designer, and he’s put together these great videos of the pyramids made up of hundreds of still shots. He walked around them, and took shots every 10 seconds. The result is very cool!
Extreme Diet Coke and Mentos Experiment
The silly folks at EepyBird have put together a wonderful video (synchronized to music, nonetheless) illustrating the explosive combination of Diet Coke and Mentos, and imitating the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas. Beautiful, just beautiful!
